TONY ROBINSON President/CEO
Robinson P.A.C.E. was launched by Tony Robinson after 20+-years of executive-level government, higher education and corporate communications and public relations experience.

Prior to founding Robinson P.A.C.E. Tony served as Chief Communications Officer at the DC Department of Buildings, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Urban One Inc., and Sr. Vice President Public Affairs, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement at the DC Housing Authority.

Previously, Tony was recruited by the DC City Administrator to join his executive management team. He directed public affairs and general communications activities for the office, provided counsel to the Mayor, Deputy Mayors, agency directors and subordinate public information officers.

He worked directly with local, regional and federal elected officials, media and business executives to advance infrastructure and high-priority initiatives for the city including development of the new D.C. United soccer stadium Audi Field and an innovative $3 billion power line undergrounding program with Pepco.

From 2007 to 2011 he served as Director of Communications for the newly created Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization (now the DC Department of General Services). The office was created to implement the historic $3.5 billion effort to modernize the DC Public School system facilities. Tony managed all communications, stakeholder engagement and marketing activities and served as spokesperson for the office.

Tony also served as the Director of Public Affairs for the DC Sports & Entertainment Commission (now EventsDC) from 2003 to 2007 where he managed government, community and media relations during restoration of historic RFK Stadium and the development and opening of Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals Ballpark.

Before that he held a similar position with the Washington Convention Center Authority (now Events DC) where he created innovate communications and public affairs programs that fostered public understanding of the development and opening of the new $850 million Washington Convention Center.

Previously, he was the Chief of Staff and Press Secretary for DC City Councilmember Kevin P. Chaos (D-Ward 7). In that role, he authored legislation, developed public policy strategy and coordinated targeted political and community events.

From 1986 to 1993 he held several positions as a lobbyist and public relations advisor for Northeastern University, Johns Hopkins University and American University.

Tony attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA and majored in Journalism and Technical Communications. Immediately upon leaving school, he was hired by the University as General Manager of its nonprofit/grassroots radio station WRBB-FM, where he developed award-winning public affairs programs and instituted the station’s first underwriting and listener support programs.
